Our philosophy for applied behavioural analysis and behavioural supports is to work with each person as an individual, using methods that have been proven to be effective. We use data to track progress and make informed decisions about treatment, and we focus on being positive and proactive in preventing and rewarding good behaviours. We also believe in collaborating and communicating with everyone involved in the person’s care to ensure the best outcomes.
Our Approach
- Individualization: We recognize that each individual is unique and that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to ABA and behavioural supports. We prioritize developing individualized treatment plans that are tailored to each person’s specific needs, preferences, and goals.
- Evidence-Based Practice: We believe in using evidence-based practices to guide our interventions, and prioritize using methods that have been shown to be effective through research and practice. We regularly evaluate the effectiveness of our interventions and make adjustments as needed to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: We believe in using data to evaluate the effectiveness of our interventions, track progress, and make informed decisions about treatment. We collect and analyze data regularly, and use this information to make data-driven decisions about treatment plans.
- Proactive Approaches: We prioritize using proactive approaches to prevent challenging behaviours before they occur. We work collaboratively with individuals and their families to identify potential triggers for challenging behaviours, and develop strategies to prevent these behaviours from occurring.
- Positive Approaches: We believe in using positive approaches to reinforce desired behaviours, rather than relying on punishment for undesired behaviours. We prioritize identifying and reinforcing positive behaviours, and work to create a positive and supportive environment that encourages positive behaviour.
- Collaboration and Communication: We recognize that collaboration and communication are essential for effective ABA and behavioural supports. We prioritize working collaboratively with individuals and their families, as well as other professionals and caregivers involved in the individual’s care, to ensure a coordinated and effective approach.
